Hiner Road Fema Project

Project Summary

Griffiths Engineering & Architects, PLLC served as a sub-consultant under Shumaker Consulting Engineering & Land Surveying, D.P.C., providing engineering services for the evaluation of existing conditions, design, and cost estimates for Hiner Road located at the North East corner in the City of Binghamton, NY. 

Hiner Road has had emergency repairs to the roadway, ditches, and culverts by the NYSDOT emergency contractor.  Hiner Road is the only public access to residents in the Town of Kirkwood and City of Binghamton. 

Griffiths Engineering & Architects, PLLC evaluated the existing emergency repairs to Hiner Road.  They will also evaluate and expand the Broome County’s Soil and Water Conservations report for Hiner Road and Upper Fairview.  GE will develop preliminary design and cost estimates to restore Hiner Road to pre-disaster condition.  GE will also develop a mitigation plan and cost estimates.  Griffiths Engineering will follow the City of Binghamton standards as well as FEMA guidelines for design and cost estimate work.
